Giving back the love and respect I had been given for so many years has expanded my vision of what life should be. I had been blessed with a wonderful life; I just didn’t realize it until I almost destroyed it. I know it now.
My goal, when speaking to audiences of any size or age, is to let them know anyone can be anything they wish with the proper motivation and determination. Success is something anyone can touch, but you cannot touch what you don’t reach for.
For so many years, I had no drive or desire. I had the opportunities, but never took advantage of them. I finally convinced myself that to get where I truly wanted to be I needed to make a shift in my thinking – to tear down the road blocks and excuses for my failures that I had thrown up along the way and simply do it. I did - I have - I am there.
The success of my first published book, Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover – Giving Back Love and Respect, is a prime example of what a person who has been to the bottom can accomplish by simply having the desire to succeed. The bottom is only the first step to the top. My mission is to show young people that all they have to do is reach – not only to others, but down inside themselves - where inner strength lies. That is where success can be found. Sometimes it takes some real stretching for a person to get where they wish to be in their life, but nothing is impossible. The word “can’t” no longer exists in my world. You tell me I can’t - and I will.
I enjoy the love and respect I have been blessed with over the years, but enjoy giving it back even more. Giving back has been one of the most rewarding parts of my success. Love and respect seem to come back to me hundreds of times over. I feel very good about that. I want others to feel good about themselves as well. My messages are geared to not only motivate and inspire, but to make people think about how they treat their own life - and the lives of others.
Spend some time with me destroying the “box” that sometimes seems to enclose people and block their thought process. Use the “box” to your advantage. Shape it, bend it, fold it, crush it, step all over it - or around it - but do something with it other than sit inside of it. My box is many different shapes and sizes. I form it to suit my needs, goals, desires and dreams. Most days, I flatten it out into a dance floor and everyone is invited to the dance. I hope you will accept the invitation and dance with me as we reform beliefs and transform futures. Welcome to my world.
